Chip Mayes
Plays the Great Scottish Highland
Bagpipes, Guitar, Bass, Penny Whistle,
Baritone Horn, and provides Vocals.
Chip started his musical career, in what at that time
was called Junior High School, by joining the school
band and learning to play the Baritone Horn. Only
a couple of short years later he played his first
professional "paying" job. He hasn't been long
from playing one of his instruments ever since then.
His travels around the world have had
their influence, and he brings a unique
view and direction to the group.
Over the years he has played in classical ensembles,
country bands, rock bands, and traditional pipe and drum
bands. In his day to day career he is a technical director,
site manager, and producer of large scale corporate and
for pay events.
His other interest include fine art and oil painting,
building motorcycles, and building giant scale RC aircraft.
